"Pocket Clip" on P-32's

Kentucky Rifle

I was curious as to how many P-32 owners use the pocket clip for carry. For a long time I didn't. In fact, I took it off and put it in "the drawer of un-used accessories". I re-installed the clip a few days ago and have been carrying my P-32 clipped to my right front pocket. (Sans holster) It really does look like a Spyderco Clipit. Nobody has said anything about it yet. For use inside the waist-band, it's uncomfortable. (At least for me.)

WLM,

As I type, I have mine on the gun and inside the waistband of my gym shorts.

I had Jack Fuselier matte nickel plate the slide on my P-32 and I wear it constantly, if in shorts, in the warm Texas summers.

9X19,
I went for the chrome also. For a pocket pistol, chrome is best. However, mine is a factory chrome slide. It looks like brushed stainless steel.
What does the Fuselier chrome look like?
Shiny or dull?

Will,

It's a dull (matte) finish, not as silvery as the factory hard chrome tho'.

When I bought my P32, the hard chrome wasn't available.

I use the P-32 belt clip all the time, I've got it in my waistband right now. I am very comfortable.
I plan to get my slide nickel plated
(Jack F) this winter, but for summer carry, I need my P-32 right now.

And if you hear from my Louise, won't you tell her I love her so?

The pocket clip is the only way I carry my p32. I just wish my slide was parkarized because I've already experienced some rusting. Nothing some cleaning didn't get rid of.

I have a pocket clip on mine, but I sure wouldn't want to get into a quickdraw situation with it.

How do you guys draw this damn thing?

I have the clip on my P32. I don't always carry it using the clip though. I also use an Uncle Mikes pocket holster.

To draw the gun when I carry using the clip in a IWB position, I place my hand over the gun, on the outside of my pants. I slide my thumb over the back of the gun and down into my waistband so it's on top of the slide. I then push the gun up and out of the pants by placing my fingers on the muzzle end of the gun. As the gun comes free of my waistband, I shift my grip to a normal firing grip.

It works quite well. I can draw this way about as fast as I can draw it from the pocket holster. It takes prcatice to get it right though!

DMSC,
I just tried your method and it works great! I also found that I didn't need to push up on the muzzle. I just hook my thumb under the butt of the P-32 and place my other fingers on the outside of my waistband where the right side of the butt will be, pull up and presto, the pistol is in my hand. A little practice with an unloaded pistol and the draw will be as fast as a pocket holster.

I have a factory hard chromed P-32 and mine rides inside a Robert hedley back pocket leather holster.

The clip may interfere with your draw from a holster and may interfere with slide velocity.

No thanks to the clip.

Jt,
How do you like that Hedley back pocket holster? I just wrote the letter in which I ordered a Headley back pocket holster for my Guardian.
Tell me, does the anti-print panel extend above the top of your pocket? That's my only concern regarding the holster.
Also, how would the P-32 pocket clip do anything to slide velocity?

Thanks,
Will

I carry my factory chromed skide P-32 in a Ken Campbell custom pocket holster and it works great. I do not want the clip on mine, it would mess up the pocket holster carry mode.
By the way I have had zero malfunctions with mine. I have owned it for six months and it is my favorite small concealed carry gun.

This post makes me want to change my X-Mas wish list from a Ruger Bisley .45 to the Kel-Tec P32. Big gun for target shooting or mini-me gun for CC?

I want a Kel-Tec P32.

Badly.

I just received my chrome slide back from Kel-tec with the s.s. belt clip. What a package. Tatters that's a good plan to wait until winter to send in your slide for the exchange. It took over a month(seems alot longer) to get it back. I went through withdrawl. I guess I'm a P32 junkie. I haven't tried the clip yet but if I can forget I'm carrying it in an Uncle Mike's IWB holster I'll probably have trouble finding where I tucked it, let alone anyone else. What you can't see can hurt you! Happy shoot'n. Kevin

I don't see how you can call it safe to carry a pistol with a round chambered if it is not in a holster that covers the trigger. It's an AD waiting to happen.
