Pluse rifle from Aliens. Get to see one this weekend.

A buddy of mine just got his pulse rifle delivered in the mail. I am going to check it out this weekend. There was a thread with a lot of interest a while back, so I thought I would mention it.
This is the one made from real gun parts, with the electronic counter that works when you pull the trigger. He has some dummy grenades he can feed into the launcher and eject, and will be getting the display grenades later (30 bucks a piece. Machined aluminium.)
He already had the long gun vasques had in resin, and the armor.

See of those "real parts" could be used to change a Real Thompson into an M41A! (sans Grenade Launcher and Counter) I want a Pulse rifle that fires .45 ACP... 10MM Caseless is hard to find.
 
Actually the guy who built this sells a kit to make the pulse rifle, minus the actuall gun parts. I thought the same thing, except my wife would kill me. He wants like 1500 bucks for the parts kit with electronics for the counter. I will look and see how hard it would be to put in the complete tompson.
 
Well something came up, he had to go out of town this weekend. We will try to get together next weekend. I will let you guys know then.
 
My buddy also has one and that sucker is heavy! It's not something I would want to carry it around all day. The price is also mind boggling (over $3k now).
 
Well, it seams George will be selling off one new condition FAL. Any takers?

Ya know, George, if you find a .400CorBon barrel for that tommy it will be using 10mm.
 
He isn't back yet, but I will get the details when he does.
Yep it is heavy, he said it weighed around 21-22 pounds.
Around 3500 he said. Made payments to get it.

What is a pulse rifle and is there a picture of it somewhere that someone could post?

Wha? Pulse rifles? Aliens???

The grunts in "Aliens" were supposed to be shooting FA guns that put out regular bullets, albeit with caseless ammunition.

I don't remember any pulse rifles.
 
Well George, I think that web page answers your question. You would have to do the parts kit, and build it yourself. Man does he do a lot to prevent you from even remotely converting what he built to fire.
