Plinker handgun

Can anybody tell me about a german handgun called a plinker. It belonged to my grandfather and it was just found in the attic.

Pictures go a long way. Plinking is a term given to casual shooting, and a plinker may just be firearm used for such.

German Handgun (plinker)

On the barrel it says THAL CO Plinker cal. 22 short, made in germany. The handle is white in a gold circle it says plinker. I will try and get a picture of it posted.

I'm reasonably sure that "Plinker" was a Rohm trademark. As someone has observed, don't fire it.

you found yourself an interesting(?) paperweight!! My dad gave me a Rohm, it throws lead everywhere except the target. IMHO, one of the most unsafe and worthless guns ever made. I keep mine as, well, a paperweight. Those guns were proof that germans CAN build crap-ola!! Still, isn't it cool to find a gun hidden away by a grandad or uncle?? I've inherited lots of old sears shotguns and such through family hand-me-downs.

Thanks for the information on the gun I wasn't planning on shooting it just wanted to know what I found and if there was a way to find out what year it was.
