Please watch this..

the anti gun or pro gun control thing realy bugs me, I personaly would give up all my guns, and would tell my friends to do the same if I actualy thought that it would put an end to gun related crime. The problem is that criminals dont listen to the law, so any new gun law will not affect the way the use guns. just us law abiding citizens

That jerk certainly does not speak for me. I can't believe I am in such a small minority according to that gasbag. Evidence for the opposite of what that windsac says was in this afternoon's Mac Watson Show on WRVA. Plenty of people called up supporting changing the law to allow patrons of restaurants and bars to carry concealed, including me.
Thank you for the enlightenment, I had no idea about this nutcase.

Me too. if I could be guaranteed an absence of crime and violence simply by turning in my handguns I would glad walk down to the courthouse tomorrow and turn them all in....all three of them. ;)

I wouldn't. Then again, I live in a place where the predators come in both 2-legged and 4-legged variety.

I guess if we gave up our cars there would be no more drunk driver deaths either.

I think Juan and I agree.

Maybe. I actually would give up all my firearms if somehow magically any need I could have for them were to disappear. However, this being the really real world, that ain't ever gonna happen. Especially considering crime isn't the only reason to own them.

Same way I quite honestly wouldn't mind seeing cars disappear, provided any need for cars went along with them. But again, real world.

A gun is a great equalizer. Without firearms, size and physical strength become more important in determining the outcome of an attack. Was life any less violent before the advent of firearms?

Even if we could wish away violence and evil, there would be no reason to ban guns as they could still be used for hunting and sport.

Therefore, why would anyone be willing to give up their guns even if they could all be made to disappear.

What about non gun related crime? I got strongarmed by a big guy when I was younger. I wouldn't give up my guns for anything, even if they offered me a billion dollars for them.

Just too much fun aside from being able to make the incredible Hulk back down.

I have guns for fun of shooting as much as I have them for defense.
I wouldn't give em up, I love 'em, its my hobby, my defense and my right.

im not saying that giving up guns would stop crime, i know it wouldnt. But the lives of others are more important to me then my guns

For patrons of restaurants and bars; is it really a big inconvenience to leave their guns in the car? To most reasonable people, including gun owners, these are small inconveniences that in no way erode our basic right to bear arms.

How I wish that Suzanna Gratia-Hupp were standing there when he said that so she could have rammed her "small inconvenience" of losing both of her parents after leaving her firearm in her car down his throat. That was, after all, the law.

I love how his entire support comes from a "poll" of Richmond residents, rather than facts about gun crime. Gee, I wonder if that poll could have been influenced to acheive a particular outcome? They're trying to intimidate the lawmakers by saying "this is what your constiuants want, look at our poll." If you live in VA, call your reps and senators and tell them that despite what this nutjob and his poll say, you vote and you disagree. I bet they'll get thousands more calls against the bills than for them.

Gun Control: The premise that a woman found in an alley, raped and strangled with her own pantyhose, is morally superior to allowing that same woman to defend her life with a firearm.

By the way, that needs to be on a t-shirt and everyone should wear it to their state capitol.

Wow that video was creepy.

Yea it was...my fav part was when he said "I, like most of my friends, do not plan to give up my guns"
Wait, so he's a gun owner and would still want everyone to register then. What a quack.

Another one of my fav parts was when he said that 3/4 of metro area Richmond residents believe availability of guns was directly related to crime...DUH, I mean come on now, you are polling the residents in the city...sounds like they knew the outcome of the survery before they even gave it...the least they could have done was poll the rural areas in Virginia too.

Not that I am glad I live in Maryland (because their CCW laws suck) but Virginia needs some help!!!

Oh statistics. Check this out:

  • Half of all marriages in America end in divorce.
  • The other half end in death.

Less we forget, both Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer have CCW permits... from the state of California.

It's not that they want to get rid of guns for the better of society. They want to disarm everyone except for themselves.
