Please recommend pocket holsters for S&W Boduguard or Taurus 85

I am looking for a comfy holster in which I could, if it so moves me, carry a revolver while at home. Could you recommend something that would be comfy and not too obvious (no need to freak out the mail delivery person :) )

Hi Oleg (nee Cornered Rat);
I won't steer you wrong.
The single best pocket holster for the J-frame size Smith isn't Uncle Mike's.
It isn't ANY leather holster.

I have the Uncle Mike's brand. It is too narrow front-to-back for most pockets, so that the gun will tip forward or backward in your pocket, though it works "OK" in tight blue jeans.
I have leather pocket holsters, and even Lou Alessi's (whose work I like for most everything) is WAY TOO THICK & STIFF. They bulge far too much for good concealment.

The holster to get, which is slim & flat, and breaks up the outline of the gun, and is made with a "leg" which holds the gun upright and stable in the pocket, and is velour on the outside (to hold the holster in the pocket) but slippery nylon on the inside (to let the gun come out easily), and is reasonably priced ($19.95) is made by Action Direct. (www.action-direct.com) Go to the site, click on Holsters, then on Action Pocket Holsters. You want the 64R model. It's the best pocket holster there is for the J-frame. No question about it.

I carry a Taurus Multi Alloy in a Galco pocket holster. Works fine, but your robe pocket may not hold the holster in place. I don't wear robes, but I do wear pocketed sweat pants around the house. I'll toss the revolver in those pockets now and then. But I must admit, I don't think it's particularly safe.

How about a belly band?

Go with the Kramer pocket holster and You'll be happy. That's what I use with the S&W 442 and it works great.

Hello, Mr. Volk. I tried several pocket holsters and ended up using the least expensive: Uncle Mike's. It works for me in my front pants pocket or in my robe pocket at the house. Best.
