*Please help!* SAR-1

Okay, I guess I screwed up by waiting this long to get one.......:barf: But, does anybody know where I can get a SAR-1 for slightly under $300.00??? AIM's website states that they are back in stock, but when I called them the lady that answered the phone said that they were out of them...... So I guess I am SOL on one of these, but is there still some hope?

Hmmm, I looked at the usual suspects and they were all out.

You might try going directly to Century, through your FFL.

Southern Ohio Guns has an interesting competitor to the SAR-1, a new Russian Izmasht (sp) for $360. Might want to look at that.

Unless you have your heart set on a SAR, you can find rifles from Global Trades Co./Arsenal USA. They run $500 shipped plus your FFL transfer fee, that's what I ordered today. I looked at one up close and the fit and finish are light-years ahead of the SAR rifles. A bit more but I think worth it.

SOG doesn't have the Izhmash (sp?) rifles in stock, another example of false advertising in my opinion, but they'll be happy to backorder.

Dont worry!

I spoke with the woman who answered the phone just a few minutes ago, and she assured me that they will DEFINITELY have a new shipment in three weeks. They will be either 2000 or 2001 production year rifles (she does not know which), and you'll get your chance to buy one then!

The Isreali Hi-Powers, however are not expected to be restocked in the near future.
