Please Help ... Remmington X-Mark Pro Trigger Assembly **UPDATE**

I removed my X-Mark Pro Trigger from my barrel assembly during the bedding process, and I can't figure out how to reinstall it.

I took pictures of the trigger, but for some reason I can't get it to go back the way it came out! I put all of the parts in a plastic baggie, so I know everything is there.

Any suggestions?

I've figure out how the trigger and pins go back in the receiver.

The only problem I can't figure out is where the long bolt stop spring goes.

It's #7 in this diagram. The diagram shows it going under the bolt stop , next to the receiver, but I can't get it to go there.

I know this is a lot of trouble, but could ANYONE with a Remington 700 and the new XMark Pro trigger ... PLEASE take a pic of it and send it to me? I just need to see how that spring fits onto the rifle, and then I'll be good.

The spring loop goes up, fitting into the slot beside the bolt stop, and the pin goes through the spring loop and the stop to hold the stop and the spring in place.. The hook on the front (long) end of the spring goes under the bolt stop, pushing it upward, while the short end rests on the bottom of the receiver. The idea is to keep the bolt stop up to stop the bolt unless it is moved out of the way by the release pushing up on its rear end.

Whew ... finally got it back in there. You almost have to fit it into a place it doesn't want to go! Everything is up and running now.

Thanks to James K and Riverwalker.

Necro-thread post, here, but hopefully it will help someone.

I wrestled with this spring as well. I found it helpful to drive the rear pin just barely through the second hole on the spring side, so the spring loop could be captured by the pin before the pin is fully seated through the bolt stop.
