please dont laugh but i baught a used heritage 22

i just baught a used heritage rough rider in 22lr it has a rounded grip frame but only the 22magnum cylinder i gave $60.00 for the gun was that a fair price? is this a pretty good gun whats some good magnum loads to try in the gun will it stand up to shooting ok ( it has 22lr stamped on barrel is why im asking) thanks for any info :D
 
Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, I like my Heritage.

Let us know how it shoots, some are spotty, some are very accurate.
 
Heritage Rough Rider

I have 2 of the Heritage's - 6 1/2" and a 4" Bird head. I work at the gun counter for the MCX and our going price fo rthe Heritage is $160.00 - which is cheaper than the out in town guns shops around here. So yes you got a good deal.

I've had my 6" for about 9 years now and it's very accurate (it has been re-blued, which I don't recommend doing to another) it seems to like the Maxi Mags in 22 Mag.

thanks for the info is there anywheres i can get the 22lr cylinder for the gun ? will shooting magnum loads decrease the life of the gun?thanks again :D
