From my own personal experience, . . . all of these holsters are better than a Walmart bag, . . . but not by a whole lot.

Walmart bags are cheaper too.

May God bless,
Dwight

Most people find leather or kydex to be more serviceable, but if a nylon holster is all you can get your hands on in your location, it is better than nothing in that it covers the trigger and keeps your handgun in one place.

I have had 3 Uncle Mike's over the years, and still own two...

They are perfectly serviceable for what you pay...

From your pictures, that looks like an Uncle Mike's "Sidekick Ambidextrous Hip Holster"

If so can be used as an IWB holster or OWB holster.

Hi TailGator,

Well, I can find many kinds of holsters on the net, it is not illegal to own a holster, but I am afraid of buying a knockoff

Sorry, but that's funny. Someone from China not wanting a knock off :D

Looks exactly like the sidekick I have sitting in a drawer or box somewhere. Although very versatile, not very good overall as far as holsters go. I'm from the pay good money for a good holster school though so thoughts may differ. In it's price range it offers a lot with adjustable everything via velcro.

No offense was intended. I genuinely did not know what limitations you might have because I did not know how difficult or expensive it might be to get things imported to your location.

I would also point out that in your original post, you did not limit your question to whether it appeared to be genuine or a knockoff - you also asked if it was a good holster for concealed carry. I attempted to give you some insight into what other people use for concealed carry, again without meaning to offend.

Uncle Mike's holster are inexpensive to begin with so that alone would not make me think it was a knock off.

You can buy new Uncle Mike's holster for under $15 shipped on Amazon all day long

One thing a lot of guys don't think about at the time they buy a holster is, can you run with this holster & will it securely hold you pistol in place and stay on your hip if the time came? Since you never know what life is going to throw at you & nothing can give you 100% flawless guarantee of an outcome, the time may come in a life and death situation when it's better to run or make an escape to a safe vantage point than to copy a Hollywood shootout you see in the movies.

For example. During a training excercise I attended last year, (using unloaded or prop guns) the instructor had individuals attempt to quckly dash or run with their chosen carry holster. It was often a disaster, with pistols or holsters flopping around wildly or even flying off the hip and skipping across the training faclility's floor. It may sound silly, but this excercise proved that if these guys were out in a public place in a real SHTF situation, they would have lost their pistols and possibly the chance to get to a safe location to protect themselves. It also showed the importance of a good functional holster. I have this exact sidekick holster. IMHO this is an excellent range holster, but I've tried it with three of my pistols & the straps never seem to give a secure fit for SD carry. It's just my opinion, but I prefer to carry a close fitting pancake style holster for my defense pistols.
