The December issue of "Playboy" magazine has an article in the "Playboy Forum" section on the new Florida castle doctrine law.

It is well balanced but leans to the pro firearms side.

There is no way to get it online so anyone wishing to see it will have to
  • Buy it
  • Borrow it
  • Stand at the market and read it

After I get my wife to believe I purchased Playboy for this article I can then try and get her to believe I need a subscription to Penthouse for the monthly review of holsters and firearms...

It is a miracle this simpy, sappy magazine is still around.

Even more pathetic is the occasional, awful image of Grandpa Hefner lying about in silk pajamas with his granddaughters.

Pardon me me while I go puke.

Some of the most interesting articles that I have read were from playboy. :o
Was a long time ago though. :)
Is there not a "girls with guns" mag?
Or is it a tranny mag? :barf:

Not a bad article... nothing profound either.

The antigun lobby fired back... One citizen wrote, "Someone comes into my business to complain about my service. Shoot 'em." ... Democratic representative Ari Abraham Porth of Coral Springs warned that now a Floridian could... shoot someone who pushes him out of line in a Publix supermarket. Miami police chief John Timoney warned that Floridians would be shooting each other over... Halloween trick-or-treat misunderstandings. ...

The same fears were expressed by the antigun lobby in 1987 when Florida passed its concealed-weapons law... Almost 900,000 Floridians have been issued carry permits since 1987. During that period firearm-related incidents decreased.

[Info on Dennis Baxley, the bill's sponsor]

...I tell [Baxley] about my experience with guns in Florida. When my wife and I moved into a seedy neighborhood in 1992, our cars were repeatedly broken into... One officer said to me, "Only an ******* would live in this neighborhood without a gun." That afternoon we went to the Dixie Gun Range, fired off a few hundred rounds, bought two nine-millimeter semiautomatic pistols, took an authorized gun course, were fingerprinted and six weeks later received our concealed-carry permits in the mail...

Antis... They have no faith in people's ability to work out problems non-violently, nor will they ever.

Wolfe.

It's not anti-gun. It's neutral with a smidgeon of pro-gun.
