That is a standard Mauser 98 action and there are after-market triggers available if you feel you need one. But I agree with Wildalaska that it might be better just to learn that trigger. Believe it or not, the two-stage trigger tends to grow on you.

I don't suggest a DIY job unless you know exactly what you are doing; there is just too much chance of making the rifle dangerous.

Use the bottom of the trigger, and do the slow pull. Yes it will make you a better shot, don't anticipate the shot, slow pull. Retired mil here.
