They have for years.

The only plastic on the 1911A1 was the grips, and that was not for weight reduction.
I said "grip/trigger guard" BTW.

I saw a video recently of the .22 Mag Pathfinder Lite and the guy took the grips off to reveal the cheapest looking plastic I've ever seen used in any gun. Like, plastic so cheap it made Kel Tec's Zytel look fancy.
I'm not saying I need it to be metal, but for goodness sakes don't make it look like it's something made in the army men toy factory.

has anyone else noticed that the new Charter Arms revolvers have a plastic grip and trigger guard assembly?
My Bulldog Pug shows zero on an ohm meter...it's not plastic. It's not magnetic so it may be aluminum or a nonmagnetic stainless alloy.

No molding 'circle'. Like I said, it's metal.

Charter grip frames have been made in aluminum, stainless, and plastic.

Yes but not on all our models. Our bigger frame models have an aluminium grip frame. Hope this helped.
