My gunshop took my order for a 9000S today...the owner says he should have it in the next few weeks. Anyone get one of these yet, in line for one, or heard of someone who has shot it? I would appreciate anything you can tell me.

Any info if they're gonna come out with a single stack version? Last I heard, there were no current plans for one on the near future.

Chunky little booger. Cut down both length and height 92 with a plastic frame, about the size of a Glock 26. Still can use the 92 mags.

Much has been said about the width of the new 9000S (1.6 in.) and its implied "chunkiness". The Beretta Cougar and 92 are 1.5 in. wide (per beretta.com), but fit very comfortably in my hand. Are Beretta slide's unusually wide (they don't seem so to me), or is Beretta's ruler broken?

Think of chunkiness as you would the aspect ratio of a tire. A 215 width tire that is a 70 series looks skinny when compared next to a 215 that is a 45 series. Same with the Beretta. Sure it is 1.5" wide, but it is in a 3" tall by 4" long pistol rather than 1.5" wide in a 5" tall by 7" long pistol. A girl can look pretty darn good at 155 lbs if she is 6' tall, but pack that 155 on a shotgun frame (4'10") and most people would consider that chunky. Same thing.
