hello it would want to know if somebody knows this pistol and its history? it is to mauser of oberndorf, it is 9 mm (not 380) and only. I have two units with different mechanisms. Greetings

Mauser made a very few of these pistols to the Nickl design in 1916.
The German army was not interested in a new pistol during wartime.
After the war, Nickl and Mauser offered the design to Czechoslovakia.
The arsenal at Brno made some pistols of that design in 1920 and 1921. But in 1922 the Czech army changed to 9mm Browning (.380) and standardized on the vz22 in that caliber with the Nickl action.

I do not know for sure how two of the Mausers made it to South America.
Brazil acquired several hundred Mauser Model 1912/1914 pistols before the war. Perhaps this was an attempt by Mauser to get back into the South American market after the war.

The caliber is 9 mm Parabellum and this made in Oberndorf according to the engraving of frame. Are two units enumerated with different systems from mechanisms. The numeration uneven and is alternated. Nothing of the destiny of these pistols is known?

The pistol which appears in your advertisement closely resembles another experimental Mauser pistol that was in .45 ACP and which appears in a 1958 publication, The World's Guns.

There was also a .45 prototype that resembled the 1912/14.

I believe your pistol to be of a later vintage than the 1912/14.

Confirmed, thanks to a friend.

I borrowed several books of weapons .... even the "Mauser Pistolen" 2008.

It turned out that the pistol is not documented in any book.

Since the system has no rotating barrel.

As explained on countless other forums, you have a unique one of a kind mauser design. I'm not sure anything can be said that hasn't been already.

Please post pictures for the people here who have not seen one of these.
