Pistol Grip Engravings

I am wanting to get my dad some new pistol grips for his high standard double nine for christmas. I was wanting to get some with his initials in them. I was wondering if anyone knew or would recomend a place that could do this.

They carry a half-dozen different carved/engraved & scrimmed Double Nine grips, but AFAIK don't do custom scrim/initials:

You could have the plain grips scrimmed (scrimshawed) with whatever you desire at a custom scrimshander's.

I can fully appreciate & commend your sentiment, but inexpensive grips are about $35, going up for machine carved, etc. Custom scrim can add even more $$$ - making it easy to vastly exceed the value of the revolver.

Have you given any thought to refinishing his existing grips & initializing them - maybe inlaying his initials using silver wire ? (Go to a national chain craft store, like Michael's or A.C.Moore )

I would like to do that but part of one grip broke off severals years ago but thanks for the website.
