Pistol barrels?

My favorite barrel length in a B/P revolver is 5 1/2" I prefer the short 4 7/8" Ruger new Vaquero length also on my centerfire gun. I have the traditional 7/12" on my Uberti London and have Remington revolvers in both the 8" (Standard length) and the 5 1/2" (sheriff model) Piettias, and I much prefer the short Piettia Remington. It just balances and points naturally!
POI and recoil appear to not be affected much per given charges between the two Remingtons. Under the shooting club's covered range, the muzzle reports sure are different naturally the shorter is louder but earmuffs don't lie and even with hearing protection on, the difference is noticible. In the open air without hearing protection, the difference is not very noticable, odd eh?
What lengths do you choose for your revolvers?

I'm pretty versatile on barrel length, I like about anything from this.

The shorties are great for the poker table and the longer ones are needed to fill the camp pot with meat.;)

I typically prefer shorter barrels (4¾" for Colts and 4 5/8" for Rugers) or longer ones like 7½" - 8". The only 5½" length that appeals to me are the 1871-1872 Open Top and 1860 percussion or cartridge conversions.
