Reloaders are having a hard time FINDING the components. Thank gawd, I'd stocked up during panic #2.
Bought some Fiocchi brass 115 gr. 9mm at my local Scheels yesterday at $11.99/box for a customer.
General rule for those under 75 years old. Shoot one/buy two. When you hit 75, you should be good to go.
If you reload, primers are key. Powder and bullets seem to always be available.

Add "bullet moulds and casting accessories" and bullets are more available though lead is getting a lot more expensive.

I had a fair amount during the Sandy Hook shortage, but I regret not selling some of it off. I could have tripled my money on the ammo and had a much larger stash once prices normalized.
I am planning to sell some off now, but plan to keep plenty to shoot.

Both are unavailable around here. Ditto for 9mm and .45 ACP.
At the range a couple of days ago, the owner confided that he's buying old ammo from customers so he'll have something to sell range customers who want to rent a gun to shoot. He had some boxes of 9mm in a brand I had never heard of. The bullets looked suspiciously silver-ish, so I told the owner to hold a magnet to one of the bullets. He did, and it stuck. So the stuff is Russian (or some Eastern-bloc country) ammo with steel-jacketed bullets.
He was shocked. I don't think he knew that some of that stuff uses a soft steel for the bullet jacket.

Too much watching of the constant, oft-repeated (old) videos on TV of burning objects, looters, "defund the police".....a man and wife in side yard holding guns....
has indoctrinated some people to the point that many seem to confuse
1) peoples' neighborhoods (--mostly far from large urban areas--) with the
2) walled community of the St. Louis Mayor, which was famously broken into months ago. That was a pre-planned, *one-time, * one-place protest event. Not a random event.
If I had some guns or ammo to sell, I would also join the bandwagon which spreads anxiety, and Profits. $$ Profit is now one of the main drivers of Fear-Speak .
Think that media-driven fear is bad now ?
A recent article in the Wall Street Journal by a Constitutional/Appellate attorney who worked in the WH, describes how the Electoral College must have its votes in, and 'act together', by Dec. 14th. Everything must be settled --no matter how chaotic--between Nov 3rd and Dec .14th.
I see ammo prices going even a good bit higherby mid-November, unless the President >> wins by a solid landslide Nov 3rd <<, and state election boards and Congress don't create serious problems.
Maybe it won't be a major "Scheisse-Storm", but the potential for chaos in our govt. is Huge. More runs on all groceries' fresh meat and toilet paper?

IS THIS SCALPING??? Took a tour through local (Johnson City TN)sporting goods stores today. Academy was empty. Looked like a "Dick's" --nothing. Mahoney's, locally owned, had Federal 38 SPL LRN @$39.99/50 and Norma 38 SPL @$34.99. It HAS been a long time since I bought factory 38 Special but this just seemd really high. Had a decent suppy of powder but very limited bullets for handguns. I visited the gun counter where a patron was purchasing a Kimber .357. Overheard the clerk say the Kimber was the Cadillac of revolvers

I just ordered a Marvel Precision .22 LR convention slide for my 1911. I have over 10,000 rounds of .22 LR so I’ll shoot the heck out of that for now.
Had to pay $74.99 for a brick of 22LR Thunderterds back in 2013. I vowed never again will I take it in the butt to recreationally shoot a gun. Jump to present day, consistent small weekly buying investments and i'm deeply vested into reloading and casting. I sit back smiling on about 86,000 rounds worth of reloading components, and about 900# of lead. Stupid fear/ impulse gun panics are of no concern to me anymore.
