Pin staking - anyone experienced?

The slidelock hinge pin on my CZ52 keeps backing out. I bought a pin staking tool from the makarov.com site, but it of course didn't come with directions and I've never done this before. Anyone with experience in this area? I just need a line or two of "how to."

Nope. To be honest I've never heard of one. :)

But what I've used on stubborn sight retaining pins is put a flat spot or divot in the pin in one or two spots on either end, with a punch or even a dull chisel. (and of course use lock-tight)

If the hinge pin sits below the surrounding level then simply set the tool over the side of the hole and tap with a hammer until you achieve a "roll-over" of the surrounding metal. If it sets flush, then set the tool at a 45 degree angle to the pin and slightly over on the surrounding metal and tap to force a small amount of metal to push against the pin, do opposite sides to get a proper stake. Put the pistol in a padded vise to hold it steady while you stake. Hope this helps! :)
