Are any (Remington) pietta parts interchangable with (Remington) euroarms? I think I read somwhere that the cyl. will interchage, how bout the internals? I know I can get euroarms parts from several diff. dealers. just curious to see if anyone knows...guess this is kinda like the Tuco gunsmithing deal:rolleyes:
I know I post alot of questions but, thanks!

Sure, they all interchange to a degree. Having said that, some minor filing/polishing may be necessary on any action parts even from the same manufacturer. THESE ARE NOT PRECISION MADE PARTS.

Thats kinda what i was thinkin.....so if i wanted to use a pietta cyl. in my remmie as well I could?
Nope. You asked about 'the internals', so that's what I was referring to - notice the reference to action parts. The cylinder is another story. If you have to do any filing on that it takes some specialized effort as you must keep the face of the cylinder flat and true to the axis. Some brands of cylinders interchange well; others don't. There is some risk here.

You can make a larger cylinder fit. If it's smaller you can't. If you can measure your cylinder I can give you some more info on what may fit it.

other makes of cylinders will fit/work in same patterns. I just bought 2 Colt 1860 Army cylinders and one 1858 Remington cylinder, of unknown make- all 3 of them fit, rotate, and lock in my 1851 Euroarms Colt and 1858 Navy Arms Remington. The Colt gun actually has a CVA frame in it, another adaptation. The Colt spare cylinders to in the gun and are actually a more tight/snug/precise fit, than the cylinder that came with the gun ! The Remington cylinder needed slight filing of the bolt, to release correctly when first cocked. But now everything interchanges.

these are all basically "file fit" guns
