i shoot s & w revolvers, mostly double action mode. for this reason, the glocks are looking very interesting. but my, how do i pick just one? all responses greatly appreciated.

I guess the first step is to figure out which caliber you desire. Once you decide on that then the next step will be the guns purpose. CCW, target practice, competition and so on. Third, when you decide on the 1st two, find some place that has them available to rent and shoot. Feel them out to see which one fits your hand the best. There is a big difference between the full size and the baby glocks. Enjoy your journey to the dark side.

Of all the Glock calibers and models (fullsize, mid size, compact, sub compact), I am currently enamoured w/ the 32. Nice size for IDPA, CCW, range use, hiking...whatever & the 357sig round is just a lot of fun ;)

your favorite glock

thanks for the replies guys i think what i am really interested in hearing are what you like about your glock thanks in advance

Of all the models, the mid size Glocks (19,23, 32) seem to be the most versatile...as I've mentioned, range use, ccw, competition. As for the round. If I were a newbie w/ pistols, I'd stick w/ a 9 mm in this case the 19. But lately, I've been on this 357 sig quest and this particular model has ALOT going for it.

Plus, as an aside, if you ever wanted a 2nd caliber for your 32, you could purchase a 40 S&W barrel for it drop it right in ;) You can also do that conversion 40 S&W to 357 sig (dropping a 357 sig barrel into a 40 cal Glock).

I chose a 19 for my first Glock because of its size and magazine capacity. I think you'll find the 19 is one of the best "all around" Glocks because of these same reasons plus the low cost of 9mm ammunition will allow you to practice more than with other calibers.

Just get the one you like best right now, others will be added shortly thereafter.:D

Ok. I have a 2nd Gen G19 and enjoy it very much. I wasnt a big fan of a 9MM for CCW weapon but since I have accquired the G19 it has taken over as my primary CCW weapon due to its ease of concealability, rounds capacity and reliability. Ammo is going at Wally World for $10.65 for 100 rounds of 115 FMJ Winchester. Ammo is cheap and fun to shoot. Easy on the hand. I have 4 each 17 round mags and one 15 round so if I have to go into a fight with alot of bad guys then im ready with quite a few rounds. I just got the glock back from the manufacture for upgrades. It took 10 days to get it back. That includes weekends (2) and the gun is like new. Cant beat that for service. This is my first glock and so far Im very impressed. Might just grab a Glock in 10MM for fun.

Agree: Glock 19. Not too big, not too small, universal caliber, cheap to practice, effective for defense.

I think everybody is right by saying the compact models(19,23,32) are the best overall...Considering size...weight...ammo capacity...balance etc...I've owned about every Glock model but have traded them in on something different over the years...With that being said...The G19 & the G23 are my favorites...I thought the G32 wasnt that bad until I put about a box of ammo thru it...By the way...I just put a deposit on a new G23 with Meps...should be here in a day or two...:) Take care...

Another vote for the 19/23. Best combo of size and firepower. I prefer the 23 of the two based on the bigger round and only 2 less rounds in the clip (though that doesn't matter if you shoot 10 rounders), but the 19 is easier to shoot because of the lower recoil and has cheaper ammo. You really can't go wrong with either.

I too believe the 19s and 23s are Glock's best offerings, size efficiency wise. I'd pick the 23.
