Well, first time at a gun show went great, so there will be many more in my future.
Picked up a hardly fired 1960's Stevens 311A for a cool $240 after some haggling with the tag price being $325. Guess it helps that it was the last hour of the show because day 2 was cancelled due to Irene coming up the coast. Also, the guy was a descent fellow and it was one of his personal firearms that he bought brand new in the 60's and we ended up talking for 30 minutes after the purchase about politics, the economy, etc. Hopefully he will be at the next show as well.
Pics
The only imperfections are 2 dings on the right barrel, 1 in the stock, and a minor scratch towards the butt.
It doesn't have a serial number being so old, so I was wondering if there was any other ways to tell exact age. The guy couldn't remember the exact year he purchased it as he had a large firearms collection, and it would be nice to know.
