Picked up a few BHPs today....

I have been working on deal to pick up a few MKIIs. What started out as a buy for 1 has become 5! :o

4 of the guns are LNIB MKIIIs with fixed sights, matte finish and 10 round mouse trap mags which I was able to get at a more than fair price. The MKIIIs guns are 1995/1996 guns 3 of which are sequential serial numbers. 3 of the 4 are bone stock with magazine disconnects in tact. The 4th is the gun which is not a sequential serial number has the mag disconnect out of the gun and is missing the trigger spring pin. Other than that it is stock. You can see a punch mark where the trigger pin was popped out. The plan is to use these as base guns over the next few years. No need to post pics we all know what an matte finish gun looks like.

The 5th one is an older gun. I was closing that deal the seller told me he had another older BHP but it was not in LNIB condition. It had some wear and did not have the stock sights on it. He said he bought it from a bullseyes shooter and he uses it for a holster fit reference, oh yeah the guy I bought them from makes custom holsters and runs a training school in FL. He said it had some surface wear, small thumb safety with wear and that it needed new grips but he had ordered a set of Pachamyers for it and he would send them my way once he got them. Well I said send me a few pics I might be interest. He sent them over and I inquired how much did he want for it? He said $400. I said sold.

So here is my new to me $400 BHP. It is a 1969 C Series with Bo-Mar sights!!!! It does have some surface wear but nothing too bad. I has a few dings here and there and I will replace the thumb safety either with an older one in better condition or maybe a C&S part it the mood suits me. I put a pair of Navederix grips on the gun for now! It should clean up nicely. I took a few quick pics. The lighting was not cooperation so they are not as clean as I would like but you can get an idea of what I got for $400.

I'm not being a wise guy as I got
my first one in trade last spring,
but what is that gun worth ?
In a trade I got 3 handguns and
one was a 1975C BHP ,wood grips
great shape "beer can" rear sight and
spur trigger. This is the first and only
BHP I've ever held and I love it.
I wish this trade would
have happened 20 ys ago.

Thanks Ron

I would estimate depending on condition $500 to $800 to the right buyer depending on your area. Finish and condition is everything when it comes to used guns. NIB BHPs are $900 guns.

The factory adjustable sights are love or hate type of thing. Some people love them but others avoid them because some do not hold zero well enough.

They are excellent guns enjoy the one you got!

WVsig,

What is your specific address, when are you and family not there, what sort of security do you have and if you use a safe could I have the combination just in case you have a memory lapse?

Your pal,
UncleEd :D

P.S.: I'm not jealous at all.
