picked up a Colt Anaconda

4" barrel in .44 magnum, great balance with that underlug

Smoothest action I've ever seen on a Colt by far, no staging whatsoever which surprised me.

Some superficial scratches so I'm getting a smith to polish it up bright.

I bet this brutesnake kicks. Maybe less than a Smith 29 since it is more massive and has rubber grips. Can't wait to try it out.

Although, I do not own an Anaconda, I have fired a few of them. It is so unfortunate that Colt has abandoned its manufacture of double action revolvers.

I had the 6" stainless .44 and I LOVED that gun. Second both the balance and the trigger. Sold it for a STUPID reason (hard lesson learned) & that was that. Bought the dang thing brand new for $595 in 1998 & am have trouble finding one for under a grand now. I want to run into traffic every time I think about that piece...lol.

I have a 6-inch Kodiak, which was a limited run of Anaconda with nonfluted cylinder and factory magnaporting. I absolutely LOVE it!

Great guns!

Wow I bet that Kodiak is worth some money; a rare bird amongst rare birds.
Have you ever compared it to one that's not magnaported?
I'm curious how much difference it makes.

gahalleen -- Very nice, very nice indeed. 1 of 2000

I tried my best to get a Colt Grizzly(1 of 1000) back in the early 90"s, didn't happen. Ended up with a S.S. king Cobra. I still have the Cobra, she's has had close to 9000 rounds shot through her. They are some tough revolvers.

That is a very nice Lawman you bought.
