Picatinny base questions???

I want to put a picatinny style scope base on my rem 700. I was just wondering if anyone could give some input on any that you have used or some that may be better than others. I have noticed that some are quite spendy, and some are reasonable. 40 to 60 bucks sounds good to me. I also noticed that the bases that are on the rifle are tapered, the back one is higher, do they make picatinny basses with the taper. Any info would be very helpful. Thank you.

Yes they make a 20 MOA rail that I am aware of, but I think it was a little pricey.
