Sundance,
I would also prefer a somewhat shorter, lighter trigger on the Kel-Tec, but I do think that a longer, heavier trigger does offer an added margin of safety against accidental discharge - especially on a pistol that might be carried unholstered in a pocket (thought I realize that that's not an ideal carry method). If having a longer, heavier trigger didn't add to safety, everyone would carry cocked single actions wilth no safety (the shortest, lightest, trigger possible). The trick is finding the "happy medium" that is a good compromise between safety and accuracy. I don't generally like DAO pistols because of the trigger, prefering traditonal double action (so I can cock it to maximize accuracy when I have time). I find the Glock trigger a little too short and easy for my taste (safety concern), but that's just me.
By the way, are you from Utah (your TFL name makes me wonder)?
