Photoelectric sensor & digital counter

Hi,

Has anyone setup a photoelectric sensor & digital counter with their progressive press to count the completed rounds? I started to look into this and wanted to see if someone already had a setup they were happy with.

All the press-specific counters I've seen are electromechanical. Unique Tek makes one that senses the round at the crimp station, so it counts finished rounds rather than handle operations or powder drops and whatever else.

But what you are after is an "electric eye" type system. You could just buy something like this and set it up to catch the cases dropping past as they hit the chute.
