Photo. proof there was no *Million* Markists March:

Quote taken from the site:

Note that the size of the MMM crowd is only a very small fraction of this -- the only way you could fit "750,000" people into an area the size that the MMM crowd fits into is if you buried them five deep underground.

Not a bad idea.

Here's an idea. Everyone post the links to news articles reporting sub-750,000 numbers. Then pick and choose the most objective ones, and post them to various BBSs discussing the topic. Hopefully it will make a point to some of the "neutrals" out there...

Judging from my observations when I was down there, I never thought there was anything appproaching 750,000. I thought maybe 100 to 150k at best.

I wonder why the media is buying this figure from the Moms?

I wonder indeed.

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression.
In both instances there is a twilight when everything remains
seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all
must be most aware of change in the air - however slight -
lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness."

Right you are.
I went to the 20th Earth Day festival on the mall and there was at least twice as many people there and the PARK service estimated around 400K. There is NO way that there were 750K people there.
BTW, I don't want anyone thinking I'm a tree hugger... it was a free concert.

Okay, for our August TFL Meet, we issue a press release saying

"Nearly 42,000 members of an internet site advocating Freedom and Liberty gathered at a private ranch for a period of training in firearms and political activism and evenings of quiet, thoughtful seminars."

(Well, heck! If we're gonna lie, we might as well make it a whopper!!! :D :D)

I was there, and I've been to some real cattle drives on the Mall over the years. They'd be doing well if they had 100K, teh 750K number must be a nationwide delusion. The photos from the Free Republic site tellteh story.

We had approximately 2000-2500 at SAS/AIMM. We were much better behaved than some of teh 'mommies' and the SAS women were far more attractive (smarter is a given).
