something about this story just seems rediculous to me. now i have nothing against making sure convicted felons do not own a firearm, but pitting neighbor against neighbor over it is insanity. it also concerns me that there have been over 900 "tips" that have led to only 250 confiscations. this means that almost 700 law abiding gun carrying citizens have been harassed over legal ownership of a gun just because their neighbor freaked out when they saw them carrying it into their house from the range.
i won't even begin to describe the things that are wrong with this statement:
"Under the city-funded program, cheap handguns normally rate only a $250 reward, while the $1,000 payoffs are reserved for more dangerous weapons, like shotguns or attack rifles"
this country is going insane and something has got be be done before it is too late.
