Anyone ever had hands on one? I have a chance to buy one (12 guage), and have only seen a few so-so pics of this particular model. Is it the same as the ones relabeled? I have read in several forums that they make cheaper guns for other labels, but also make some very high quality guns. Just trying to get the lowdown on this particular model Thanks!

That is true - like any other big company, they make various levels to various price points
 
Hmm. Upon further investigation, it looks like this shotgun may have been sold under the Traditions label. I wish it wasn't a two hour drive to have a look at it. I already have an entry level gun that I shoot pretty well, but I'm certainly not looking for another one. I would really like to have a decent shot gun and I'm willing to spend some money on one. I guess that is good enough reason to go on a little road trip. Will I be wasting time and gas on this one?
 
For a good O/U. look at the models from Beretta, Browning and SKB - even used, you will find well-built guns at reasonable prices.
 
Well, I know where there is an SKB for sale also, maybe I'll go look at it this weekend and see if it fits me. I think the guy is asking $1400 for it. Thanks again.
