My biggest coyote to date @ 34.5lbs.
BTW Coyotes have been in full rut in the North, Texas area.
Go get you some.
Wish I got the video of this 4 pack and perfect headshot at 210 yards.

Not trying to one-up, but about 5 years ago I killed a coyote that weighed an even 50 pounds. A male, and twice as big as any I had ever killed prior to that. The only coyote I ever brought back to the barn to weigh.

nice dog

was you calling??? what call did he come to??

or did he just show up while you were pig hunting?

I live in Collin County.
This hunt was one county over in HUNT Co. (ironic isn’t it).
Since the coyotes are very active I didn’t call at first but just waited for them to do their first howl! I responded with one female howl and within minutes they were literally leaping into the field.

So far my best was 42 yards, with my bow.
Pack of 11 came in on me when i was just getting ready to climb down from the tree stand.
10 left.
Rather quickly i might add. ;)
Never did get a weight on any that i've shot.
90 gr BlitzKing out of the 257 Roberts does a number on them.
Want to try same bullet in the 250 Savage.

Nice dog, Zen!

Nicely done, Zen!

The coyotes are proving to be fairly active right now around here in VA too. I took 2 Tuesday night, but the mud was too deep to get close and take pictures. I find that road-kill deer that run off and die in farm fields are almost as good at bringing them in as a call. Almost...

Would you care to let me know what call system you use?

I have to check again but I believe bounty on coyotes go up tp $50 here. You need to jump through a few hoops but there is money to be made.

It would appear to be Utah, Zen...

Wish it were PA!

What is your rifle rig ya got there, Zen?
Was wondering if your shooting the 25-45 Sharps...

That's a nice coyote! Congrats!
It's a beast! [emoji106]

But don't discount Texas sized coyotes just yet.
I've called and killed a 46lb 11oz male and a 43lb 7oz female (my two best) and I had one before I got a scale that was bigger then the big male by 3 or 4 pounds!
Besides, everything is bigger in Texas! [emoji6]
