permit to carry

was wondering if anyone out there is in Iowa,and if you have any tips when applying for a permit to carry,like the reason for applying....I live in Jasper County,IA if that helps.....any info would help....thanks....

Generally, you call your local Sheriff or Police Department as a start. They can brief you on the qualifications.
