Performance of Lee 148 grain Wadcutter from 125 meter distance

Hi all,

I just wanted to share this in order to affirm Wadcutters do NOT tumble at Long distances and may be considered for an defense round as well.

I just shot the Lee 148 grain lead wadcutter bullet from an distance of 125 meters (measured with Google earth).
I am impressed with the energy Retention. It penetrated straight through an 3/4" Wood and made an hefty ding on another similar Wood at the other side from where it bounced off.
I recovered the bullet and it deformed not that much and it got the Expansion most likely only from the second Wood. On the second Wood I observe an full caliber hole and no indications of any tumbling nor hitting sideways.
The first Wood it penetrated clearly Shows the bullet did NOT tumble but rather went straigth through nose foreward. At passing the first Wood it did not even expand that much.

Observe in the second Picture the hole (Impact distance of 125 meters) and recovered bullet.

This is the Nagant style 148 grain Wadcutter bullet fired.

Clearly this 148 grain Wadcutter has a good energy Retention. The shot from an Pietta SAA 5.5" Revolver was almost a hit where I pointed to (about 10" drop maybe and the flight time of the bullet was about 2 seconds).
I believe this is an respectable round and it Shows the Wadcutter is an effective defense round, very accurate and not only for punching papers.
At 125 meters it surely can drop an 2 legged "evil minded critter".

Another shot from 150 meters to an metal sheet made an hefty ding in the metal.
