Performance Center Gun

Some time ago the S&W Performance Center made a 38 Special revolver. 7 shot I think but I wouldn't swear to that. Barrel somewhat like they are now using on their 40 revolver. Anyone remember the model number of this gun or have any of the technical details?

If the barrel you refer to is the one on the 646, then you are probably talking about one of the earlier versions of the PC627 or a version of the 686+ that was produced for a short while. The V-comp (the Mic gun) is the current version of the 627, an N frame 8 shot .357 magnum. The 686+ is a .357 magnum 7 shot.

I went over to the S&W site to check out the barrel styles and was surprised to find that the number of PC revolver models has just about quadrupled since last week!!!
