Which you like more? So the 929 is the N frame and the 986 is the L frame? Wouldn't it make more sense to have a titanium frame and steel cylinder, instead of vice versa?

A titanium cylinder is lighter than a steel cylinder, so the DA pull should be lighter and peening of the cylinder stop notches should be reduced.

Right, but why not make the whole thing Ti, or Ti cylinder w/ Sc frame? I mean, 9mm doesn't recoil very much.

because its a race gun. where weight is its ally. The Ti cyl is for locktime and DA pull speed. The frame is steel to eat up the rest of the minimal recoil for faster follow ups along with the porting.
