Someone somewhere along the line recently pointed me at Peltor's Tactical 6 Stereo headset.

> Anyone own this or another Peltor model? If so, what is your opinion?

> Anyone know if it must be connected to something with a wire, like the battery pack or circuit board? Or, is it self-contained on your noggin?

I've read a lot of good reviews of the Tac-6s, and I recently bought a pair. Haven't gotten to try them yet. Basically, I've just walked around the house, listening and clapping my hands loudly from time to time. I'm sure I looked like a total idiot.

But I can answer you question about power. Two AAA batteries go inside each cup, so there are no wires to worry about.
 
I've had a pair for a few years. I really like 'em. They work well and are light enough to wear all day at the range.
