Has anybody tried the Ruger one hole sight by warren custom outdoor? If not what is a good replacement sight for a Ruger Super blackhawk

Boggs, Jeff:

I have never used a peep sight on a revolver; however I had a Williams peep on my 14 inch. T/C and it worked well. After a few months I wanted to develope loads so I replaced the sight with a scope.

A lot of people tried peep rear sights on their guns during the first few years of handgun metallic silhouette shooting. They all gave it up as a bad deal.

On a handgun, a peep becomes just another rear sight you have to line up with the front. The problem is, there’s nothing definite to align with the front sight.

My advice; don’t bother.

Peep sights are very popular at my local IHMSA matches, at least on the 10" Contenders in Field Pistol and Small Bore.
I don't care for them myself, I don't like how they obscure the area above the front post.
