Peep sight for .22 dovetail mount

Anyone make a peep or any sort of adjustable iron sight that will fit on the dovetail mount on top of a .22 rifle receiver? Thanks!

Williams makes a peep sight for the .22 dovetail, although it may require installing a higher front sight.

I just put one of those on my Marlin model 60. One thing to look out for: the aperture sits on top of an "L" shaped piece, with the vertical leg of the L going down along the left side of the receiver (adjusting elevation makes the L move up and down). Depending on how wide your stock is alongside the receiver, you may have to inlet a channel about 3/4" wide and 3/4" high to accomodate it. I used a small chisel, exacto knife and sandpaper, but a router with a small bit and some fancy workbench setup would probably work better.

Two versions

Williams makes a much smaller one in their WGRS line. It is the WGRS -54. The Brownell catalog says it can be fitted to most dovetailed receiver 22's. It has sliding adjustments, locked with a screw. I've sometimes had to file it slightly to fit the grooves. Retail price in my 1 1/2 year old catalog is $30.25

The one the other post mentioned has more adjustment, kind of a micrometer adjustment, but it is BIG, larger than the common Foolproof sights. Model is FP-GR with screwdriver adjustment, FG-GR-TK with target knobs. List price is $59.95

Mine is the FP-GR. Price has gone up to $64. Yes, it's big, and kind of complicated, and probably not the best choice for an inexpensive plinker. I wish I'd known there was something smaller and cheaper available. :(
