pc correct hunting/asault rem7600?

I have a rem 7600 in 308 with the factory 4 round mag,but also have 2 ten round mags. This would make a good shtf rifle I believe. It will shoot less than 1 inch groups at 100 yards. What do you all think? sj

Where can you get 10 round magazines for the 7600? Are they available for the 700?

Depending on how familiar you are with the rifle/pump action, it can be a superb layer down of fire.

Funny in a way, that most everyone would recommend a pump shotgun for home defense but it hardly comes up for a rifle.

Got an old 760 .30-06 & am gonna keep it.

cabelas has them in their catalog for $19.99 for the 7400/7600 series in just about any caliber. They are metal mags,not those cheap plastic ones. they didn't show any for the 700. sj

Someone, I believe http://members.tripod.com/Hicksdesigns/ makes a conversion for the 700 to feed from M-14 mags

I looked through the Cabela's catalog. They only list mags or 740/742. Would that be the same as the 7600?

May wanna check with somebody first - Remington being the obvious expert.

I've the 760 & a few 4-round mags. At least one is of the 740X series & the only variance in feature/functionality is the auto magazine has an extra button which does the bolt hold open function when empty. Decent enough feature for an auto but not necessary (arguably) for a pump.

Tim,yes it is the same thing. they work fine in my rifle.
