The image is a Glock 22 in Arizona Response Systems' METACOL III finish, in an experimental multi-tone red white and blue (not available to the public yet). Looking over at their finishes and what they can do, I can tell you that they have some pretty cool stuff on their website.

Here's an HK P7M8 done up in METACOL III Satin Black. Sweet, eh?

And if you're like me and the full sized Glock grip disagrees with your hand, they can reduce the grip, along with other modifications.

Damn, I didn't think it was possible to make Glocks any uglier, but that takes the cake! Looks like those popsicles the ice cream truck sells... what are they called, Sickle-bombs or something? :) Whooo...

No offense... hope that piece isn't yours. Different strokes, I guess. I like the olive drab Kel Tecs, but otherwise, black, silver and blued are the only colors I like. Those dual-toned CZs are pretty sweet...

Not mine. Too gaudy for me, but kind of neat.

I like the grip reduction. I think it'd look better without the cocking serrations and nose job. Hmm. Maybe the grip reduction plus a hard chromed slide? I've seen pictures of Glocks with hard chromed slides. It certainly stands out. Nice 2-tone.
 
It is also possible to paint flames down the sides of your Mercedes but why?

Stainless, hardchrome or business black for me.

Reminds me of ARVN troopers in custom-tailored BDUs.
 
I like the look of satin black metacol III, especially with the lettering filled-in. The Sig advanced package described on his web-site seems like a real bargain as well.

Not gonna comment on that Glock

I plan on sending my FAL to ARS one of these days. I love parkerizing, but the more durable the finish, the happier I am. :)

I'm waiting for Tamara to chime in. If I recall, she's a fan of the HK P7, and I, for one, think the one shown looks pretty sweet. :)
 
Patriotic Glock??? Shouldn't it just be red and white with a gnarly eagle on it somewhere (the colours of EastEmpire)?:confused:
 
If you want all that flashy lettering, get some lacquer pencil sticks from Brownells for ~$2each. You'll be able to fill the lettering of hundreds of firearms with a variety of colors, including gold and silver.

Here's how P7s are supposed to look.

I can dig it. Not on my guns, but that's what makes the world go 'round, right? After all, that's why it's at a custom shop, and not Glock factory goodies. That stuff won't sell. It's for people who want really diiferent guns. I'm sure the Metacol is good stuff, I just wonder how well it holds up against Robar's Roguard or NP3. I'm gonna get me a couple of them laquer pencils CWl was talking about. That little bit of flair may just fit my fancy.
 
Kind of interesting.

I actually had a similar idea for a race-gun type 1911 done up similar to the Kimber CDP color scheme, except with red and blue slide and frame, and silver 'accents' (IE, slide release, mag release, etc) as a patriotic scheme 1911. Not sure if I'd buy it, but I'd love to see it.
