If you are planning on shipping a gun/firearm through the mail. Be aware that
lt requires OVERNIGHT FEES by the Shippers, because of Bushes' PATRIOT ACT! Minimum $70. charge on this!! That goes for pistols/rifles (firearms!).:confused:
Could you imagin how many Iraqis the Bush regime has killed? Stated at
100,000 people by the British Lancet medical journal! They're running scared,
and the bush regime has promised them complete furer/dictatorship safety!
Of course, the price of that safety is your freedom:mad:

Maybe I'm just tired, but what does an extra tax on shipping guns have to do with the number of Iraqis killed? Sorry if this is obvious to everyone else.

No requirement for overnight mail for firearms, and even if it was, it doesnt cost $70. UPS and Fed Ex require overnight shipping for handguns, thats been their policy for years and is a business decision by them.

As to the rest, I love to Moderators who are elder and wiser than I

This sounds bogus to me - I've never had to pay even close to that amount for shipping, and as far as I know all transactions in which I engaged were in compliance with the law. Do you have a source?

While I'm no great fan of the war, what does one have to do with the other? :confused:

1. You can ship rifles and long guns through the US Mail to a gunsmith or repair facility only. Cost is actual shipping weight, plus registered mail fee, plus insurance.

2. You cannot send handguns through the mail, but an FFL can, to a repair facility or to another FFL.

3. You can ship handguns and long guns through private carriers (UPS- FedEx) to a gunsmith or FFL. Handguns are usually sent overnight--the carrier's requirement.

4. So, if 100,000 Iraqis have been killed as a result of the war, consider that almost the entire Republican Guard and Fedayeen Saddam--the most fanatical of his troops, the ones ringing Baghdad--the ones who said that the sand would turn red with our blood--disappeared...

leaving an estimated 200,000 trained, equipped and motivated troops to act as a guerrilla/insurgent army. Who do you think are building these IAD's? It sure isn't the local farmer.

Let's see...

Misinformation on Patriot Act;
Misinformation on shipping firearms;
Including off topic info on dead Iraqi insurrgents;
And linking Bush to Nazis.

That's more than enough to close this one.
