I need some info on this weapon mine are colt and tarus. My son is interested in buying one but I don't find any info on one does anyone own one? how do they shoot? any drawbacks? Thanks hotdog:confused:

Haven't shot it yet, but I like its size and shape, and very low price. I dislike its very heavy DAO trigger. I remember someone posting that they own this weapon and was quite happy with it.

I have one and like it very much. You may be able to purchase one for $200-$240, so the price is great. The pistol seems well-built and durable. The grip is very comfortable in the hand. The weight is only 20 oz and the frame is narrow, so the gun is quite carriable. There is no slide stop, so there is no way to keep the slide open and no notice that the gun has fired all of its ammo. Mags hold 6 rounds and extras are reasonably priced. Provided you keep a firm grip, the gun cycles reliably. The recoil isn't bad at all. Like all DAO pistols, there is a tendency to pull the muzzle off target when pulling the trigger, so this isn't the easiest gun to shoot accurately. But as an inexpensive, potent carry weapon, it is excellent.

If i were u, i'd save up a little more and get a Taurus PT-145. If u search the present board, you'd find several who are very satisfied with it. ;)

Rain Coat

I'm sorry to take so long.
I posted this a while back and never checked on the posting.
Powder Dry goes by a lot of names,
The bottle that I have here is Rain-Coat.
If you run a search on The Log Cabin Shop or Mountain State Muzzeloading, they carry some form of it in their shop.

denfoote, you wanna enlighten New_comer or should I?

Ok, I will.

Do a search on the PT145 and you will find out about the polymer cracking. Alot of guys bummed out about the defects. Me included. Im a long time Taurus fan but you gotta stay away from the polymer line for now....
