Parts for Pietta 1860 Army

My 60 Army has a bad habbit of leaving drag marks on the cylinder because the bolt is dropping too early. Since the gun was made in 1983 I think that the hammer cam has wirn down and is causeing the problem. I need to find a replacement. Does anyone know where I can find thes parts?
 
One thing to consider. With the problem you mentioned the wear is usually to the leg of the bolt that rides on the cam and not to the cam itself. Good mechanical design dictates that generally when two parts interact the less expensive be the wearing part. In this case the hammer and cam are case hardened glass hard while the bolt is tempered to a spring temper and will be the part that wears quicker.

Depends on which La France you mean - the country, the people, the American company that makes fire fighting equipment?

My people have been in the New World since the French Revolution. Dad's parents came from around Trois Rivières in Quebec. We're not related to the American LaFrance company.

This is true but when I took a look at the parts today I saw that the top edge of the cam (where the bolt leg snap over) is very worn and rounded. I bought this gun about 15ys ago from someone in a gun show and from the stamp AL on it it was built in 1983. I imagine the bolt legs are worn also but I am pretty sure that without a better cam I will not get much improvement. I had a similar problem with a ASM single action .357 and it was corrected by the new hammer so I will probably end up getting both. Thanks for the replies to everyone.

Thanks for the info. I looked at VTI and there price is kind of steep. $59 compared to Cabelas $29. So I ordered the Cabelas kit and it also has several orther parts so I can try the hammer and bolt and have some left over spares kike the springs and the pawl.
