The spring for the hand and the boolt broke yetsterday. I did not findout until I was cleaning the gun. I looked at Numerich Gun Parts but they don't show anythine but a cartridge converter in the way of parts. Does anyone know where to get parts for this gun?

plus one for dixie.
since you're buying springs, might as well get one or two trigger/cylinder stop springs. that will be the next one to go.

interesting link, but their prices range anywhere from a $1 to almost twice as much as dixie.

i was comparing hands and bolt springs.

Here is a second vote for the Cabela's revolver replacement parts kit.

I bought one just to have some spares laying around. So far I've put it to good use. I have four Pietta Colts that the parts have dropped right into with no problems.

You can't beat the price for factory made replacements.

I think different people are using different names for different parts.

Post 1: hand and the boolt broke yetsterday.
Post 2: might as well get one or two trigger/cylinder stop springs

Innyhoo, hand spring is far away from the bolt. THAT is a trigger connected part.

Item 2: That hairpin IS the trigger/bolt spring.

THAT part, I would suggest you buy the ones made for the 1873 model. They are still made today. Buy REAL COLT springs. They may be made by Pietta or Uberti but they are SOLD by COLT, by god, and you will pay COLT price.

Then, too, you MIGHT buy the wire model. Seems they work the same but last forever, like Ruger springs do.

Cheers,

George
