I'm thinking about trying to restore an old LC Smigh 16 ga. that I inherited from my Dad. Problem is that there's very little left of it. The bbl is pretty banged up, but might be salvagable if I cut it just at 18". All of the wood was ruined when I got it. Also some stupid teenager (me, about 30 years ago) took it apart to see how it works, stripping a lot of screws and losing some minor parts like the trigger guard.
Oh, did I mention that it's also pretty rusty? Anyway, I may never want to actually fire it, but it would have some sentimental value for me. So, does anyone think this project would be worth the effort, and does anyone know of a source for old, obscure LC Smith parts?
