Parts compatibility between SAR and FAL

I am looking at a Springfield SAR 4800 and I am wondering about parts and compatibility with FAL metric types, ie barrels and bolts, etc. Any info or advice appreciated.

The SAR is either Brazilian or Argentinian in origin and, unless I'm mistaken, metric and should be compatible with other metric FALs.

Their FAQ would probably cover such a question. Otherwise, someone on their discussion board would probably know.

I would suspect that the compatibility is close to 100%.

take em off one and put it on the other. the only thing outside of the thumbhole stock that is different from the sar and the fn is the mfg name on the receiver. fn is belgium and the sar imbel from brazil (the only authorized mfg of fn's by fn!) you can purchase all the goodie's to make it p.ban compliant from dsa. any other quest e-m me and i will try to help you out.
