Yeh we do, it makes us feel very important among all of you men. LOL :)

So have we reached any conclusions yet?

Are TFL women different than "average women" besides all the attention they get here on TFL :D :D :D

Of course TFL women are different! Y'all actually use your heads for something other than ornamenting your shoulders!!

When I got to seriously thinking about what I was looking for in a mate, I knew I had to have a woman who liked guns as much as I do, and would be willing to learn how to use one. I think what makes TFL women different (likewise everyone else on TFL) is that they have not lost the pioneer sense of independence. It's a tough world out there, and NO ONE, especially y'all ladies, can afford to be a passive lump of milk toast.

I'm surprised a certain TFLer (with whom Miss D should be familiar :) ) hasn't weighed in here yet... I think I'll have to prod her...

I think TFL women are hotter, smarter, and more prone to rational thought than non-TFL'ers!
Actually my wife likes shooting, but hates actually spending any money on guns. I have to sneak around and buy them. It isn't like the money is comming from the baby food fund, but she get's PO'ed anyway. I have to sneak 'em in and stash them for about 6 months before pulling it out, and shooting it. When she asks about it I always say: " But honey- I've had this for more than six months!" It is the oldest trick in the book. Why is it that even pro-gun women tend to object to the purchase of a new gun?

Yes I feel us TFL women are quite different, we are very loving, sensual, and the best looking people on this forum so this makes us very special and I would imagine all the other women here would agree, and a few others. LOL

Yes we do get alot of attention here thats what keeps up here and not someplace else. :)

"TFL women?" Hmmmm... sounds like a "Soccer Mom's" worst nightmare. :)

Let's not forget the non-TFL women who are also staunch RKBA advocates, own firearms, know how to use them, but who are totally uninterested in the online forums available.

My wife of 23 years, for one. :-)

They may not post, but they're out there. :)

Well, as usual, I'm jumpin' in on the tail end of the discussion! Man, I wish I'd been here earlier...

I am definitely NOT the "average woman." I believe another TFL lady referred to herself as "spitfire," well that's me too. I am headstrong (as Jedi will readily tell you), aggressive, assertive, overly tall, and I got a big mouth. I tell it like it is... (Heck, I ain't never gonna stand back and let some pyscho-punk-freakazoid mess with me or my kids).

My sisters think I'm nuts cuz I carry a gun everywhere I go. They don't think about self-protection at all and I don't understand that mentality. How can women not be concerned about protecting theirself and their kids? I am a very nurturing mother, but I also wouldn't hesitate to defend myself.

BTW,Are any of you mothers out there enrolled in martial arts training? And if so, how on earth do you find time to do it? I'd really like to take a class (haven't decided what discipline yet) but I don't know when I'd make the time!

Anyone coming into my house at night (Jedi works nights) will be faced with quite a firearms arsenal, a claymore, and a sgain-dhu if all else fails!

Um, Jedi: All I want for Mother's Day is a 590, a 590, a 590... :D

sorry for the rambling, I think I've had WAY too much caffiene today! :)

Of course we're different, we think for ourselves. :)

As a postscript, of course I didn't have to actually pop my coworker. I think the suddenness and severity of my response tipped off this rather sheltered individual to the tactlessness of his social gaffe...

P.P.S. You Scots! My beau is that way, too... (Scots-Irish/Cherokee, as are all those who've been in Georgia since Oglethorpe was running the place...) Yet he finds my sudden interest in Vikings and studying the Nibelungenlied amusing. Go Figure.

Darthmaum,
Check into Aikido. It doesn't require any kicking (that I know of, anyway), so for one thing, you maintain better balance, and also you're not as likely to injure *yourself* practicing crazy spins, etc. ;)

PS...
Once again, I must agree w/Terri. :D
