parkerizing recommendation

I recently bought a S&W mod.19 that's tight and shoots well enough but the bluing's gotten pretty thin and the back strap's gone brown. I don't care too much about the looks as I got this piece to carry in the field and expect it to get dinged but I'm kinda thinking about getting it parkerized. The good ol' original green. The question is who. I'd like to keep this around $50 or so (excluding shipping) and don't mind detail stripping the gun myself if need be. Some one in the Houston area would be a plus. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Two thoughts that I've heard highly recommended several times.

Arizona Response Systems www.arizonaresponsesystems.com

Chestnut Ridge Supply www.chestnutridge.com

Never had any work done by either, but have heard many praise both.

BTW, if you're mildly adventurous, this can actually be done without too much fuss or investment on your stovetop. Brownells will send you directions, and sell you chemicals.

I have used the Brownells products many times to do some stove top parkerizing and it works real well. CLEANING is very important and stainless steel pots work great. Follow the instructions from Brownells and you cant go wrong, from what you say your old 19 looks like, anything would be an improvement. It was for mine.
