Parker Hale Pro-stalker

Hi

Okay, interesting one this. I'm in the market for a .243 bolt-action and a local dealer has a new, unfired ('cept for proofing), un-molestorised Parker-Hale Pro-stalker. 'Sleeper' may be an appropriate term to use here. Now, about as much as I know about the Parker-Hale sporters they were built on Spanish '98 Mauser actions.

Anyone know anything about the Pro-stalker in particular, apart from the fact they're kinda purty with a laminated stock and all?

I have a Parker Hale mauser 98 1200 Super in .270 I bought back in 1978. Its consistent with pretty much any bullet weight. Its in the shop right now after 29 years the bluing is going to parkerizing. One of the best rifles I own. :)

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it I have a 1200 in .270 as well as a Midland in .243. Both are very accurate rifles and only the .243 has ever let me down. I had the firing pin spring break and had to be replaced, luckily I was only shooting paper that day.
