I'm new to this forum I was wondering what type of bullets would be recommended for deer. Currently I'm shooting 100gr Remington less than a 1/4 groups at a 100 yds...

If you are talking actual bullets there's a lot of choices, factory loaded ammo may be a different story.

I agree with Art it sounds like what you are using is just fine.

Are we to understand you are talking about ammo, not just bullets?
Do you load your own, or just buy factory loads?

If you do reload, there are plenty of choices for 100 grainers. I shoot the 100 gr Nosler BT in my 260, and it works fine on coyotes, pigs, and deer. My history with CoreLockt bullets is good also. But, if I had to start from scratch in loading for a 243, I'd probably go with a Nosler Accubond.

Buddy of mine has a PH in .243. He thought it's a varmint rifle only until I finished laughing. Anyway, if you're not reloading, the Remingtons will do nicely. 6mm uses the same bullets as the .243. As long as they're over 85 grains, they'll be deer bullets. Under 85's are usually varmint bullets.

Midway lists only 4 6mm loads.
Hornady 95gr
Winchester 100gr
Federal 100gr
Remington 100gr
Hornady is the only one in stock @ $25.00!
