This is an old market hunter gun with Damascus twist barrels. I would never shoot it with modern smokeless powder loads, but i got a source for 10ga blackpowder loads.

The old Damascus guns were made for blackpowder and the bad reputation of burst barrels comes from people using modern smokeless loads in these old guns that were made for black powder loads only.

Anyway, I am thinking of using this gun for snow geese. I may even use it for wild hogs, a round ball load in the first barrel and buckshot in the second barrel. Anyway I got to get it home first and pattern it. I will let you all know how it performs.

Sorry, but a century of time does strange things to the welds in between those iron strips. BP runs lower in pressures than most modern loads, but it's still over 8K PSI.

There's a way out, Briley makes gauge adapters, you may be able to get a set of these, similar to the sub gauge tubes popular with skeeters, to fit that.
